PARSEC ,the annual technical fest of IIT Dharwad, was originated with an aim to provide a common platform to celebrate and reward student’s expertise while coming up with the unprecedented experience of working with exceptional technophiles. The first version of the event kicked off in the year 2020 witnessing an on-campus participation of more than 2 thousand students from the entire nation, thus making it the biggest and the most successful technical event of IIT Dharwad. And now, PARSEC 2022 is making an appearance to keep up with the technical spirits, ambitiously aspiring to take substantial leaps over computing. PARSEC hosts several brainstorming sessions, innovative events and workshops some of them being Devhack, Algostrike, VeniVidiVici and Synergia. To address and solve real-life issues, participants took part in 36 hours of brainstorming and engineering innovative products, as a part of Devhack. Algo strike was a 5 hour long coding challenge where participants worked upon a problem statement given to them. Not only nationally, but one of the events called VeniVidiVici was a CTF held on a global level, aiming to accelerate the cybersecurity skills. And synergia, being the robotics event, asked participants to develop a product while keeping various economical and other constraints in mind. This time, including the ones mentioned above, PARSEC is coming up with Designo and Ascensus as well, mastering all the necessary requisites. The previous version was held under the patronage of some prominent organizations such as SBI, GitHub, Matic, Devfolio, Hashnode, GDG Hubli, Hackerearth, Decathlon, Canara bank, Gatsby and stickermule which played a pivotal role in the success of the event. And this time, with more dexterity and much more enthusiasm, PARSEC 2022 is all set to begin on 4th of March, 2022 aiming to proliferate more technologists within the student community.
