Overview

The object of the Foundation is to exclusively contribute to the advancement of human rights and fundamental freedom and any other purpose beneficial to the public in general. The Foundation’s responsibilities and goals include: • To engage in and undertake such activities as are helpful in the promotion of democratic values and human rights within Mauritian society at large and to encourage all citizens in the construction of a democratic culture. • To establish contacts and maintain permanent exchanges with similar parliamentary organisations around the world and confirm affiliations as and when appropriate. • To undertake and initiate such other actions as deemed appropriate for the accomplishment of the fundamental objectives of the Foundation within the framework of the promotion of democratic values and human rights. • To act as a think-tank in the promotion of democratic values and human rights. • To promote education in the field of democratic values and human rights.
