Since its founding in 1992, The Organization of International Development (OID) has been the leading student group examining and promoting the theory and practice of international development at The George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs. Each year, OID hosts a variety of events on campus and around Washington, including: round-table discussions with academic leaders, development practitioners, and students; presentations and lectures by scholars, ambassadors, journalists, and field workers; small development talks guided by students’ and professors’ professional experiences; capstone mixer to identify groups for the IDS Program Capstone Project; career and networking workshops; film screenings; and social events.
