Based in Vancouver and Victoria, B.C. ONE SEED Architecture + Interiors is a boutique firm renowned for creating modern and sustainable spaces. Our designs embrace the spirit of the West Coast and are also influenced by minimalist Nordic architecture, as evidenced by our use of natural materials with restraint and grace. As the designer of several Passive House projects, we are local leaders and advocates for building better and healthier buildings. We approach our work with passion and sensitivity, as each project and site is unique. As a young and innovative studio, ONE SEED has been recognized for bold design work, executed with technical rigor and detail. SUSTAINABLE: We create healthy spaces that tread lightly on the planet. We favour keeping it simple with a high-performance envelope and designs that capitalize on passive solar heating, cooling, lighting, and ventilation. We have made a name for ourselves through the Passive House community and have helped shape Vancouver’s Passive House Bylaws. EVOCATIVE: The built form should move you. Our projects are striking from the exterior, and integrated with their surroundings. Our interiors aspire to add a sense of awe to the daily activities that transpire within. The flexible designs accommodate changes in needs and uses over time. We strive to make the best use of space, and the construction budget, for our clients.
