One More Day for Children exists to ensure that the remaining responsibility to realize a safe and secure society for children to grow in, develop and prosper has been achieved. This responsibility defines our mission and vision.This mission of love was born out of philanthropists’ professionals from different ethnicity and in Legal field, social work, Child Protection, Health, Community Development, Gender and tourism on the principals of Child`s Rights and Protection. We developed the following programs to resonate with pillars of Survival, Development, Protection and Participation as a basis of interventions on issues affecting children. • Safe Spaces/House for survivors of Gender Based Violence ie FGM, Child Marriages, Crude abortions, Samburu Beading • Child trafficking and Child labor program • Child rights, education & skills development; • Advocacy, Research and Community outreach • Health Program (Adolescents sexual &Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS, OVC care) • Sexual /cultural/Gender Based Violence (GBV) • Rapid response and rescue of children in distress program • Girl Child empowerment, Family counseling and Rehabilitation program through alternative livelihood program • Probonal Service to the survivors Natural and man- made disasters create terrible situations that put already vulnerable children in grave danger. When emergency situation do arise, eg. Marrying off small girls to elderly men in exchange of cattle and goats, drought causing hunger and starvation, cattle rustling, banditry, tribal/clan clashes, flooding, disease outbreaks etc, One More Day for Children Foundation makes it easy for you to help. By overturning oppressive narratives negatively affecting especially girl child from these communities, we are building solidarity and hope while improving children's lives. For some, our help can be the difference between life and death. For others, it can mean the chance to create a meaningful future - one that improves lives.
