Peter Danczkay, our CEO / Designer not only is responsible for everything that is made and designed, but also works directly with clients to tailor to their requirements. Peter’s understanding of light, as well as his meticulous attention to detail gives his designs and work credibility. His focus and experience in lighting gives him foresight in solving custom solutions. Designing and manufacturing lighting is in his opinion, much more complicated than making furniture, or decorative objects. Not only do all the pieces need to fit together, but we must incorporate electricity and light. At Oleant, we never start manufacturing until every single detail is resolved in 3D CAD. It is not enough to think in 3D, as time and order is also a factor: how will this be made, how will it be shipped, and how will it be installed. There are many projects that have been very close to Peter’s heart, but to pick one would be unfair to the rest. Peter has been doing this for over 8 years now, and is more excited about the future than ever. Oleant has been featured in many magazines, but of particular recognition is the front cover of the March 2021 edition of Licht Magazine. Oleant has recently received government grants that have allowed us to build our production facilities to the point where almost everything is done in house – so we are less reliant on others. Having many clients who return, shows that at Oleant, we are doing something right.
