Overview

Deep in the jungles of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the beloved okapi roams. Part giraffe, part zebra, it is truly one of the more unique animals you will ever see, and the inspiration for our business. Much like the okapi, we all live and work in a jungle. However, ours is one of hyper-competitive industry, consumerism, globalization and a need to remain efficient and profitable. With access to anything at the touch of a button, the key is to stand out amongst your competition. Unfortunately, you only have a few seconds to do so in most cases — due in large part to the increase in mobile availability and internet access. This is why we believe many organizations are in desperate need of fresh, creative and unique approaches to solve their business challenges. Which is exactly where Okapi Global comes into play. We are far from a group of consultants who have spent their careers solely in corporate offices managing projects (although, yes, we have done that too). We have spent years with our boots on the ground, in some of the more far-out, challenging, remote and complex locations in the world. We’ve been clients and providers. We’ve worked with demanding shareholders, frustrated customers, layered governments, skeptical communities, unionized workforces, and navigated the delicate balance between intersecting cultures within global business. We approach these challenges through our concept of CCIT - Communications, Culture & Information Technology - three pillars of business that we see as inherently connected, yet often are approached in segregated fashion pursuing independent objectives. This inevitable leads to fractured stakeholder experiences, whether dealing internally or externally. Modern business success is defined by viewing these more-important-than-ever concepts as a single unit, and we tackle every challenge under this assumption.
