Overview

The Office of the Auditor General of Nova Scotia employs 36 people. Our vision is to be a relevant, valued and independent audit office serving the public interest as the House of Assembly’s primary source of assurance on government performance. The Office accomplishes this through the conduct of financial and performance audits of government departments and agencies, as well as entities which receive funding from the government. Our audit professionals are highly qualified in their fields with most holding or pursuing their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Some staff have obtained additional certifications such as the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Project Management Professional (PMP). They are supported in their work by staff who provide services and expertise in the areas of administration, communications, human resources, and information technology. Follow us on Twitter: @OAG_NS
