Overview

Founded in 1886, the Graduate School of Arts and Science is one of the oldest graduate schools in the United States, and we build on a long tradition of excellence while looking to the future: our aim is to prepare the world's next generation of scholars, thinkers, and leaders. GSAS enrolls over 4,000 students in a broad spectrum of programs including doctoral, master's and joint degree programs as well as global programs and advanced certificates.
