Overview

The Economics Society is a trio of student-run organizations affiliated with the Northeastern Department of Economics. It serves to promote discussion of relevant economic issues, both in the world and in the department, and encourages the spreading of social and professional opportunities and networking for any student interested in the field of economics. The three entities operating within the organization include the self-titled Economics Society, EconPress, and the Federal Reserve Challenge Team. Come to our meetings every Monday from 6-7 pm! We are always welcoming new members. EconPress is a student run academic journal that gives students the opportunity to publish their work with assistance from Economics Department faculty. Typically one journal is released per semester. Northeastern University Economics Society's Federal Reserve Challenge Team acts as the competitive arm of the organization, and represents Northeastern in the annual Federal Reserve Challenge, among many others.
