Overview

NTQI (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais – Brazil – Production Engineering Department) is a center for research, education and extension in quality and innovation management. Its core mission is to capture, systematize and develop appropriate methods and tools for the creation of competitive advantage in technology-based companies. One of the main contributions is providing undergraduate and graduate students with a unique experience in the context of real-world demands. The work in NTQI has started in the early 90's leaded by prof. Lin Chih Cheng during the Brazilian Quality Movement, later expanding to new product and service development, technology entrepreneurship, university-industry collaborations, strategy and innovation tools, and innovation management in established companies.
