PT North Sumatera Hydro Energy (“NSHE”) is an IPP (Independent Power Producer) Company that developed the Batangtoru Hydroelectric Power Plant (“PLTA Batangtoru”) with 510 MW capacity, which is located in Batangtoru River, South Tapanuli, North Sumatera Province, Indonesia. With the greatest effort, the Batangtoru HEPP is scheduled to be completed on December 31, 2025, and reach COD in 2026. It will be the largest hydropower plant in Sumatera, supporting Indonesia's 15% peak load system and utilizing the watershed's potential to produce environmentally friendly and dependable electricity. The demand for electricity spreading all over the cities in Indonesia has taken PT North Sumatera Hydro Energy to get involved in supporting the Government of Indonesia in succeeding Strategic National Program (PSN-Proyek Strategis Nasional) the target of 35,000 MW of electricity spreading all over Indonesia. We developed the run-of-river Hydroelectric Power, which is a Peaker type with about 6 hours of peaking operation.
