The North East Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence is one of a network of Centres managed by the Satellite Applications Catapult, and supported by the UK Space Agency. The Centre helps organisations to solve problems and open opportunities, exploiting the use of satellite data, technologies and applications to gain a competitive advantage in a global market. The Centre is interested in hearing from organisations already in the space sector but also from those within the region who are new to the sector in order to investigate new market opportunities. The North East Centre has an overarching theme of using satellite applications to create a safer world, including sustainable living and climate change, security of supply chains, and building resilience in infrastructure and assets. Its annual North East Satellite Applications Conference aims to attract other markets to the space sector, and this year’s marine theme will bring together the space community with the marine sector, also bringing expertise from across the Satellite Applications Centres of Excellence.
