Overview
The private, independent foundation NORSØK is the national centre for the development of organic agriculture through interdisciplinary research and outreach in Norway. NORSØK also manages an organic farm. Our work is based on the four principles of organic agriculture: health, ecology, fairness and care. NORSØK and the farm are located in Tingvoll in Møre og Romsdal county. NORSØK contributes knowledge for increasing the sustainability of agriculture and society. Our staff covers a wide range of expertise, and provides a broad range of research, consulting and outreach services. NORSØK’s main areas of expertise are organic agriculture and food production, environmental science, sustainability and renewable energy. NORSØK currently has a staff of 21 employees. The managing director is Ms. Turid Strøm.
