The Northern Ontario Angels is the #1 Angel Organization in North America for Northern Ontario entrepreneurs (looking for growth capital) and angel investors (looking for investments). The creative concept and foundation of this network was developed to take Northern Ontario businesses to the next level. NOA is continually growing, developing and updating it’s Angel Investment Groups throughout the north and around the World. Presently, NOA supports Angel Investment Groups in Sudbury, North Bay, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins, Kapuskasing and Kenora. This page is focused on the Sudbury chapter of the NOA. Our Organization Northern Ontario Angels (NOA) is a not for profit corporation that facilitates essential business connections between Northern Ontario’s entrepreneurs and accredited angel investors. Our goal is to stimulate increased investment capital into Northern Ontario companies to help them succeed. This is accomplished by improving the flow of investment capital, investment education, and management expertise into high-growth potential northern companies. NOA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, with the majority living and working in various cities across Northern Ontario. Directors include individuals from a variety of entrepreneurial and investment backgrounds. They are specifically selected for their unique connections, expertise and influence to advance the NOA vision and mission. Our Results Since inception, NOA has been instrumental in 403 deals being completed as of March 2021, with total Investment Results of $577,911,700 million dollars. The companies received investments from NOA members valued at over $180.1 million dollars. Approximately 50% of the deals are in technology companies. The jobs protected in these investments include over 4,992 full time/part time jobs.
