Location promotion and management. Administer film permit system. Develop and support the local filming industry. Liase and support filming projects. We also provide co-ordination for logistical needs and requirements for film production companies, get t0 organise before their visit, and we will also meet and greet them at the airport on arrival. Above all we do all sort of things to ensure that filming project run smoothly as possible. The Niue Film Commission also works closely with the private sector to develop the local filming industry, through the development of skills of the local film makers and potential film makers, the provision of filming equipment to be used on a loan basis by the local film makers. So far this year 2014, two 1 week workshops been held, "Movie Making Made Easy Using Smart Phones", 1 for the youth and the other is for the women. The training is very practical focusing from camera skills, shooting of video footage, editing and producing final film to be screened on TV. There will be further short training be carried out subject to availability of financial resources. The Niue Film Commission is planning to have our first Hulu Niue Film Festival mid November 2014. We are very new to filming, we welcome help and assistance from anybody who is keen to help us or work together under a joint co-operation.
