Arranya (forest) is togetherness. We are one. We believe and follow the way in which forest works. A forest is comprised of infinite number of organisms (lives) and somehow or the other they all are interdependent. Together they create an ecosystem. In the same way we believe that the world is one. As very rightly said by Swami Vivekananda, “All this differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything.” Shortly put- Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which means that the world is family. Arranya is a family of x+ members who are together for a common cause. The cause of nature. Man is saboteur of nature. He has greatly harmed nature and himself. Climate change & global warming are among major problems which the world is facing. And this problem will continue to aggravate if we soon won’t change our attitude towards nature. Arranya will become the cause of the change, which can truly contribute for the betterment of society and splendid living of everyone on Earth. And to bring this change we follow ways which are perfected by scientific outlook rational thinking and ethics. Arranya is basically on four pillars, Contribution – one should contribute a small part of one’s life for nature. Because, ‘every great achievement is pinnacle of mountain range of contributions.’ Because alone we can make a difference but together we can change the world, our second pillar is togetherness. A scientific approach is an integral part of Arranya. Because it is rightly said by Carl Sagan that, ‘Science is a way of thinking than it is body of knowledge.’ Scientific temper is our third pillar. Respect for culture, communities and being considerate to every creature is our fourth pillar.
