Working Together for Strong Communities™ NeighborWorks Orange County is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to serve the Orange County community, where the high cost of living presents significant challenges for low-to-moderate income families and individuals. Our mission is to strengthen communities and enhance the quality of life for working families by expanding housing opportunities, promoting sound financial management, and encouraging civic engagement. Since we were established in 1977, we have provided over 30,000 individuals with housing-related support; we’ve accomplished this by taking a multi-service approach to serving the needs of our clients. Through our programs, we help our clients: Prepare for homeownership through: • Homebuyer counseling and education • Down payment programs and loan options • Homebuyer real estate services Protect their home investment through: • Homeowner education • Foreclosure prevention counseling and education • Home listing services Strengthen our communities through: • Community building activities • Financial literacy education • Affordable rental units • The Orange County Housing Trust NeighborWorks Orange County is a chartered member of the 235-member national NeighborWorks® network and a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Community Development Corporation (CDC), and HUD-Approved Counseling Agency.
