Overview
Neighbors in Action provides stand-alone homemaking services and volunteer services throughout Houston County. This mission of our program is to assist elderly neighbors in staying independent within their homes. Our current volunteer services include, outdoor chore services (lawn/ snow removal), companionship and transportation. Our Care Partner services include, general housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, errands, respite and laundry service. We also offer an assistive devices lending program. Clients and community members utilize our lending library of assistive devices that make staying at home safer. This program offers free lending, and no time constraints for usage. Our collection to borrow includes, wheel chairs, commodes, crutches, canes, walkers, shower chairs, and others.
