Overview

NCCU School of Law pioneered this project to address the lack of access to justice for low income and marginalized communities, and strengthen the students academically for the study of law. The Know Your Rights series offers legal information sessions that empower participants to understand the law and promote self-advocacy. The virtual pre-law courses prepare students, for the rigor of law school. Both the legal information sessions and pre-law courses are made possible through Telepresence and High Definition videoconferencing. Telepresence is the use of virtual reality technology to allow participation from any location, and gives the sensation of being at our location.
