Overview

NBCS develops, supports, and stewards the effective use of nature-based solutions, with a focus on the enhancement and restoration of coastal ecosystems, ideas, and principles, in the context of a changing climate, for application in the Great Lakes. Our Objectives: - Organize regular gatherings of cross-sector professionals, including Indigenous Communities and Tribal Nations, to share NbS best practices and experiences in the Great Lakes on a quarterly or bi-annual basis. - Contribute to multi-national initiatives and facilitate knowledge transfer between practitioners. - Create regional resources and networks for practitioners. - Participate and provide a voice for the Great Lakes COP at larger conference settings at the biennial Coastal Zone Canada Association (CZCA) conference.
