Overview

The overall objective of the NPWE project is to strengthen CSO capacities for public-policy and advocacy in the field of WE by merging existing networks into a single platform that will represent interest of women entrepreneurs at all levels. Building national platform for WE as a main social partner for policy-making and reform processes; Facilitating structural dialogue, networking and consultation among WE stakeholders at national and local level; Enhance capacities of WE CSOs for policy, advocacy and cooperation with national and local authorities; Promoting women entrepreneurs as drivers of change in WE-related public policy and (youth) economic empowerment; WE CSOs, existing and future members of WE Platform and NCWE, including local CSOs are the main target group of the project. These organisations will be given an opportunity to enhance their skills and capacity for social dialogue, evidence-based policy making and research, advocacy, networking and policy monitoring. They’ll participate in the platform, will increase their specific skills through participation in training workshops, peer learning activities, contribute to the development of policy options through SGs, TGs and local actions, and will network nationally and internationally. All these supported with the web tools and local WE hubs will empower the targeted CSOs with greater skills for policy development and monitoring. Capacities of the targeted CSOs vary depending on their size and location. Grass-root organisations, particular the ones located in rural areas face more challenges compared to their counterparts located in the urban areas. Nevertheless, common challenge remains their practice to influence policy making regarding economic empowerment and cooperation with public authorities.
