Overview

National Electrotechnical Training (NET) is a charity that supports the assessment of occupational competence in the electrical and electrical engineering industries in the UK and is listed on the Skills Funding Agency's register of apprentice assessment organisations. NET owns, licenses and administers the AM2, the electrical installation industry’s Assessment of Occupational Competence (AOC) and the End-Point Assessment for apprentice electricians, and the Advanced Assessment of Competence (AAC), which provides those seeking Approved Electrician status and the corresponding Joint Industry Board (JIB) grading a means of demonstrating they are fit to do so. NET also supports the industry’s efforts to promote vocational education and excellence in individual competence through its support of The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP) and by managing the SkillELECTRIC competition across the UK.
