Overview

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI Southwest Missouri is the local affiliate for NAMI in the Springfield, Missouri area. NAMI SWMO is also a partner agency with United Way of the Ozarks. We are a grassroots, not for profit organization dedicated to providing programs and services to individuals and family members impacted by mental illness. Our services include a Drop-In Center which includes support groups, and other activities for individuals with mental illness that help them to work toward recovery. Our services also include family education and support groups and community education programs that aide in breaking down stigma and discrimination. NAMI also contracts with the state to provide a Peer Support Warm Line that is available from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm on Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm on Saturday and 4:00 pm – 10:00 on Sunday. You can reach the Warm Line at 417-864-3676 or toll free at 1-877-535-4357. For information about all NAMI services you may contact 864-7119. Collectively, we are the “Areas Voice on Mental Illness”.
