Overview
Myant is on a mission to empower humanity through Textile Computing™. We knit sensors and actuators into everyday textiles, giving them the ability to sense and react to the human body. This continuous bidirectional interface to the human operating system will empower humanity to transform its capabilities and performance, help people proactively manage health and deliver treatment, and allow us to build better connections to our own selves and those around us. This is what we call Textile Computing™. Back in 2010, Tony Chahine started on a journey to make his vision of the future a reality. Fascinated by the potential for Textile Computing™ to act as an interface to the human operating system, Tony went in search for the infrastructure needed to produce Textile Computing™ solutions at scale. He visited supplier after supplier, from yarn companies and manufacturing plants, and R&D labs around the globe. What he found was an unwillingness and inability to innovate or contemplate an alternative future. It was from these roadblocks that Myant was founded -- born from a desire to build a bridge to a future that nobody thought was possible. We have developed the capabilities required to design, engineer and manufacture connected textile solutions so that others, be they large enterprises or small startups, can also deliver on the promise of Textile Computing™. With an extensive patent portfolio, a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, data scientists, fashion designers and knitting technicians, and over 80,000 ft² of manufacturing capacity, Myant is turning everyday textiles into bidirectional interfaces for human-computer interaction. Connect with us to find out how we can help you create innovative solutions powered by textiles that can sense and react to the human body.
