MUMUS (Monash University Medical Students' Society) Teddy Bear Hospital is a non-for-profit student-led paediatrics interest group that aims to reduce white coat anxiety in children by helping them foster positive relationships with healthcare professionals in their formative years. Every year, student volunteers run interactive activies at more than 30 primary schools in Victoria, raising awareness about the importance of healthy-living and reinforce the schools’ health education syllabus. Established in 2009, Teddy Bear Hospital is a subcommittee of MUMUS (Monash University Medical Students' Society) and has since expanded across metropolitan and rural Victoria. Alongside numerous primary school events, Teddy Bear Hospital works closely with Monash Children’s Hospital and organises fundraisers and events annually.
