Overview

Our board-certified radiologists are experts in MRI. While most teleradiologist groups generalize in all diagnostic modalities, we specialize in MRI. This unique focus means we read more MRI studies than almost anybody, giving us the kind of diagnostic confidence that comes only from experience. We take client service seriously too, and as a small team we take pride in being highly responsive to our referring veterinarians. MRI Vets was founded by Patrick R. Gavin, DVM, PhD, DACVR/RO, emeritus professor of Washington State University. Dr. Gavin was one of the early pioneers of MRI as an imaging modality for animals, and wrote what is considered by many to be the definitive textbook on the subject. In 2015, Dr. Jaime Sage began a three year mentor-partnership with Dr. Gavin to fulfill her desire to specialize in MRI. Together, Drs Sage and Gavin reviewed between 300-500 MRI cases per month, until his retirement.
