Overview

Movement to Inspire is a Swiss-based organisation that was founded in 2018. It aims to make the world a safer place for women, men and children by using sport as a vector to peacefully end sexual violence. The vision is underpinned by the work of the Footsteps To Inspire project. It's led by Claire McFarlane, our founder and a rape survivor, who is running 16 kms of beach in every country and dependent territory of the world. Through sport and global outreach, Movement To Inspire is creating a safe space for conversation and support. It's opening a dialogue with civil-society organisations, community groups, governments, private sector, individuals and survivors to discuss how we can break down the barriers as a society, heal and bring in life changing strategies that will create a deeper understanding and prevention of sexual violence. The Footsteps To Inspire project already has a footprint in 55 countries.
