Overview

Morà, the name of the project pursued by the 100% Italian brand Morà Busoli, is an acronym for “Marmo Ossimorico Resistente Alleggerito” (Oxymoric Marble Resistant Lightened): a frame carved out of solid marble (and precious stones) and enriched by a carbon fiber armor. Morà Busoli represents the most exclusive products in its field that until now were simply impossible to manufacture. The producing factory, a precision engineering company called “BBG group”, is historically specialized in the R&D, prototyping and production applied to several high-tech fields such as biomedical, microsurgical, aerospace and racing. It is thanks to the application of such advanced technology that it is now possible to sculpt a frame off of a solid marble block, starting from 2 cms and going down to 0.8mm, creating what they love to call “a marble skin” and a frame with a starting weight of barely 38grams (Cult collection) or even 26 grams (Hoet for Morà collection). Morà Busoli does not create frames out of a thin sheet of stone - rather, they're real and properly cut-stone sculptures. Each frame is a unique object, created through 18 full days of work and 193 phases of production. If this “marble skin" embodies a charm that is unprecedented in the history of eyewear, the soul of Morà Busoli glasses is the “armour” of carbon fibre that covers their entire surface. It is thanks to this that Morà Busoli is the only brand that can guarantee both an unimaginable lightness and an absolute resistance to being dropped and to other shocks.
