Overview

Founded in 1896 as the Utica Area Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce continues to be the areas regional Chamber of Commerce representing this community for over 118 years. Our regional reach transcends county boundaries and positions us to work with employers throughout Central New York. The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce works to serve the needs of its members and employers of all sizes throughout Oneida, and Herkimer counties. We represent approximately 800 businesses in a wide variety of industries and stages of their corporate development. The region comprises an area rich in history and scenic beauty. Situated at the base of the foothills of the six million acre Adirondack Park, the Utica area is only a four to five hour drive from New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Montreal. From the Adirondack Mountains to the Oneida Lake District, from fertile farmlands to vibrant communities, there is an abundance of choices for both urban and rural living. Additionally, the Utica area offers a wide variety of settings for new and expanding businesses, for family life, for recreation and for life enhancing experiences.
