At ANWA, we are bringing modernization to the stockpile, associated infrastructure, and delivery platforms, while ensuring a skilled workforce and the best science and technology. The benefits of modern nuclear weapons include not only safety, security, and reliability, but also lower costs and flexibility to size the stockpile according to the national security threat. ANWA was established in October 2017 as two distinct organizations to reaffirm our Nation’s nuclear deterrence: ANWA Deterrence Center educates key decisionmakers, stakeholders and the public to ensure a broad understanding about the nuclear triad across the United States. ANWA Action advocates for nuclear weapons modernization policy and funding with key decisionmakers.
