Overview

How it Started I have always enjoyed cooking for my immediate family. If you’re like me, you have probably stopped eating out as much during the pandemic and may have even started making more of the foods you ordered at restaurants. When I would cook for guests, I would frequently get asked, “What kind of seasoning do you use? Where can I get it?” Because of this I really got serious about my cooking and began to make more of my go-to seasoning blends. I was trying to get close to some of the tastes I liked when eating out, more specifically the traditional southern foods. I really like southern style foods and the unique flavors they have. Growing up as a kid, I have vivid memories of watching my grandmas prepare meals and remember how good the kitchen smelled and how much flavor each dish had. Both of my grandmas were from West Tennessee, and I can still remember the large array of spices each of them had on the shelf next to the oven. They would always put just the right combination of herbs and spices in whatever they cooked. I created my gourmet spice blend as a flavorful addition for many foods based on spices used in traditional southern cooking with a hint of Cajun and Creole influence. The result is a blend that I use with many foods including fish, seafood, chicken, vegetables and more. I hope you enjoy using it in your cooking or on your table as much as my family does.
