Overview

A Government of Kerala (GoK) undertaking, the Model Finishing School is a joint initiative of the IT Department, GoK and the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), with the support of industry-major Infosys. The IHRD is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the institution. The first Model Finishing School started in 2008 at Science and Technology Museum Campus, Trivandrum and the second at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium Kaloor, Kochi in 2010. Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) is an autonomous educational institution established by the Government of Kerala in 1987. There are 86 institutions including Engineering Colleges, Colleges of Applied Science, Model Polytechnic Colleges, Technical Higher Seconday Schools and Regional Centres managed by IHRD, all over Kerala. MFS Kochi focuses on the implementation of skill development programmes, funded by various ministries/departments, under Central & State Governments across the country Some of the key schemes/ministries/departments/State Governments, we have worked with are: * Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India * National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC), Government of India. * Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM) , Government of India. * Information Technology Department, Government of Kerala * Transport Department, Government of Kerala * SC/ST Department, Government of Kerala * Higher Education Department, Government of Kerala * Implementation of skill development programmes under various State Governments
