Overview

The Metropolitan School of Panama is one of Panama’s leading educational institutions. Founded in 2011, the MET offers a world-class academic program for students in PK3 through 12th grade. Located in Green Valley on a modern campus that integrates leading educational technology to support learning, the MET currently has more than 775 students from 45 different nationalities and 125 faculty members with an impressive range of international teaching experience. The school is enriched by the wealth of its diverse and multicultural community. CURRICULUM The MET is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, a community of international schools with the reputation of maintaining the highest standards of education. The MET is the only full IB Continuum school in Panama, authorized to offer the IB PYP, MYP, and DP. The IB is a world-acclaimed academic program with innovative teaching methodologies that allows the development of intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills necessary to learn, work and succeed in a rapidly globalizing world. Committed to developing the whole child, the MET integrates the rigors of the IB and Panamanian curricula with a comprehensive visual and performing arts program, Panamanian culture, competitive athletics, cutting-edge technology, and the promotion of values and civic responsibility. In September 2017, the Metropolitan School of Panama joined Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world's leading school organization, uniting with 80 other outstanding schools in 34 countries worldwide. Nord Anglia’s global family of schools share a common commitment and philosophy that there is no limit to what its students can achieve. Joining Nord Anglia Education allows the MET to participate in premium collaborations with leading educational institutions around the world such as the MasMassachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), The Juilliard School and UNICEF.
