Overview

MetricQL is a GraphQL migration-assistance tool that facilitates the transition from REST to GraphQL. Generate, visualize, and customize GraphQL schemas, types, and resolvers from existing relational databases. Our team analyzed said services, and realized there was a space in the market for a lightweight tool, aimed at minimizing the burden associated with making the switch. To get started, a user can simply copy and paste a relational database URL onto our website (or downloaded application) and let MetricQL do the grunt work for them. Through the click of a ‘submit’, you can view all the possible GraphQL types and resolvers associated with your relational database. While our website offers all you need to easily transition to GraphQL, downloading our application unlocks a host of additional features. After viewing your types and resolvers, easily save them for future use, straight from our website. Navigate to our demo page to preview all our product’s features with an interactive demo. Test query efficiency with an interactive code playground, and track efficiency on a dynamic graph. Immediately view the results of your inputted query, allowing for on the spot error handling. View and interact with your schema through the generated graphical visualizer. MetricQL was built with efficiency in mind, so users can not only experience but enjoy the numerous advantages of GraphQL. Please note, MetricQL is still in its beta version, and our team of engineers more than welcome any feedback, suggestions, and/or questions about our application. You can find our product on Github—please feel free to star us if we’ve piqued your interest! Product developed under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io)
