Merseyside Women of the Year Awards (MWOTY) is not a moment it is a Movement to celebrate loudly the achievements of women in all sectors. Ellie (Ellen) Kerr is the Founding Director of MWOTY. It is run by women for women and has a reputation for purpose, mission, integrity and values. We have created an ecosystem of service benefits to shine a bright light on the women who make that special difference. The results of this event last beyond the one-day event that brings about system level change and we could not be more delighted with the socio-economic impact we continue to generate for all women of the Liverpool City Region. MWOTY continues to influence and create a legacy for the women with substantial positive economic, environmental and societal transformation. The commercial advantage of being part of the event on women's lives and their families is tangible. The success is due to the women that are celebrated are the unsung heroes who do not seek recognition but get on and do what needs to be done because it needs doing. Along with Headline sponsor Financial Planning Corporation and with support from other loyal sponsors and supporters the event goes from strength to strength. It is a platform for women to be seen, heard and found. Providing networking, information, self-belief, coaching and mentoring opportunities and access to a large connective landscape across the region and beyond. With over 400 attendees and 10 awards for various categories the event sells out as people eagerly await who will be the next overall Merseyside Woman of the Year. Monies raised are for The Women's Fund run by Charity Partner, The Community Foundation for Merseyside to support smaller women's charities in the area with funding that makes a real difference to their survival . And the Merseyside Women of the Year Legacy Fund which supports and helps Finalists and the Woman of the Year throughout the year with training, mentoring and networking opportunities.
