The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan provides education to area schools, businesses, faith congregations, and community groups through mental health and suicide prevention programs, speaking engagements, and mental health first aid training seminars. The MHF is the best source for proactive mental health and suicide prevention education to improve and save lives. Our Mission: We equip individuals with knowledge to recognize, understand, accept, and take action when it comes to mental health. Learn more by Taking the Pledge on www.benice.org. be nice. extension (formerly Live Laugh Love) is our mental health and suicide prevention program dedicated to educating middle and high school students about the stigma surrounding mental health, signs and symptoms of mental illnesses like depression, signs and symptoms of suicide, and how to get help when students notice these signs and symptoms in themselves or others. Mental Health First Aid – MHFA is a national evidence-based program designed to educate adults on how to handle a mental health crisis when working with children and adults. The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan hosts MHFA training sessions at area businesses, schools, and health facilities across West Michigan.
