Overview

For over 12 years, Mending Waters Montana (a 501 c.3. non-profit organization) has been devoted to the physical and emotional well-being of Veterans by providing fly tying, fly-fishing and outings at no cost to the Veteran. We are exceptionally proud to state that 100% of all donated funds are used to support these activities. During this time, over 400 Veterans have participated in fly-fishing trips on some of the best rivers in Montana - Blackfoot, Missouri, Rock Creek, and Smith to name a few - with experienced guides and outfitters assisting them along the way. Through our drift boat reservation program, over 1,000 Veterans have been able to use any one of three Adipose Drift Boats owned by Mending Waters Montana for fly-fishing on the Missouri River at no cost to them. It is through these programs and fly-fishing outings that we have seen the positive effects of mindfulness, compassion, relaxation, self-worth, and joy re-integrate into the daily lives of our Veterans. This improves the quality of life for Veterans, their families and their communities.
