Overview

The Greek company - Mediterranean Escargots -is operating in the fields of breeding, producing and processing of snails, as well as the new innovative product of White Caviar. The company started its activities in 2012 in Larisa but the know-how and experience of the founders goes back in the 1990s. In 1998 they set up the first snail spawn production unit and snail fattening unit and by 2012 they had established an intensive snail breeding and processing, creating new standardized snail products, aiming to satisfy increasingly demanding customers. Currently the company co-operates with production units all over the Greek territory that breed snails under strict safety and hygiene controls, without use of chemical substances. The company has already created an innovative organization model in the snail breeding sector, and one of its top priorities, is to turn to an entire organic breeding process. The snails are being processed into reliable, safe standardized products, which follow both the Greek Mediterranean diet as well as consumers’ demands
