Overview

Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), is a premier public university located in New Delhi, India. It is Delhi's first Engineering college and among those few engineering colleges of India which were set up before independence. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic and was under the control of the Government of India. A Multidisciplinary Centre for Geoinformatics (MCG) at Delhi Technological University was inaugurated on 5th March, 2019 by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yogesh Singh. The MCG has been established with the vision to be a world class multidisciplinary center in the field of geospatial and geoinformatics education, research and consultancy. The Centre is currently progressing a few projects / awards / fellowships awarded by Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Space Applications Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad and National Mission on Himalayan Studies, Almora . Besides, students are currently enrolled for their PhD and M.Tech at the Centre. In future, the Centre aims to work in close coordination with Central / State Government Agencies and Industries in fulfilment of Government objectives, capacity building, research and consultancy.
