Overview

Tank Services was launched with the primary activity of suction Tank Cleaning in Gauteng. Group CEO, Peter King, soon recognised the need for a company that could provide a full service offering to the petro-chemical industry within South Africa and beyond. By 2010 we had added Tank Testing to our firmly established and successful Tank Cleaning division. That same year we added the Pump and Tank division - providing the petro-chemical civil/mechanical engineering and construction industry with an end-to-end solution in fuel storage and installation solutions. In 2012, whilst having been able to provide certain services to various areas in RSA, we expanded geographically in order to provide full service solutions on a national basis. Our Western Cape branch was established and by 2015 our Kwa-Zulu Natal branch was fully functional. In 2015, as this expansion journey continued, we launched our umbrella company the Matulor Group of Companies, a holding company which could provide services from these various divisions either separately, or combined. Towards the end of 2015, we expand into the industrial and petro-chemical safety industries as we launched Apex Safety Solutions; able to assist corporations in all areas pertaining to the safety of its employees and of the company itself, with training courses registered in terms of legislated unit standards. As 2016 progressed, it was evident that we had achieved the goals set in 2008, and had managed to fill a much needed gap in the petroleum, petro-chemical and industrial safety industries, by becoming THE ‘go-to contractor in the fuel business. As our journey continued, in order to diversify our offering from that of service only, we launched a Product and Distribution division, introducing innovative, cutting edge, state- of-the-art products lines and ranges. In 2017, we will continue to expand and strive to provide an extra-ordinary service experience and solutions.
