Overview

Matthew’s Hub provides social activities, advice, support, guidance and peer mentoring for autistic people age 13+ with or seeking an autism diagnosis. We support autistic people throughout Hull and the East Riding. We have developed a social network which supports and assists in accessing learning, volunteering and work opportunities. Our emotional health and well-being worker delivers mindfulness sessions, CBT style programmes, anxiety management and 1:1 support. We provide pre and post diagnostic support which includes anxiety management, peer mentoring from an autistic person using their lived experience to explore impact of being autistic. Our housing related support works with autistic people to develop life skills, access and maintain tenancies. We enable individuals to apply for appropriate benefits to enable them to live fully supported lives. We work alongside individuals to access other services, including adult social care, GP's, education and training. Matthew's Hub supports young people transitioning from school and college into university and employment Matthews Hub delivers accredited autism awareness training, developed by our autistic specialist peer mentor; our training is always delivered by at least one autistic person. This is delivered to health workers, school staff, other charities and businesses. Matthew’s Hub provides person centred support designed to help autistic people maximise their potential; this is delivered by a member of our neurodiverse staff team. We offer virtual and face to face group sessions, including arts and crafts, weekly quiz, a womens groups, 13-15 group, 16-21 group, creative writing and mindfulness sessions. Matthew’s Hub aims to build confidence and self-esteem, develop real skills to enable autistic people to be their very best. We support parents and families to understand autism and its impact on lives. We partner with a wide range of organisations Referrals welcome from individuals, families or services.
