Overview

Created in 1975 and the oldest master's degree at Dauphine, the Master 104 "Research in Finance" (formerly DEA 104) has helped train more than 1,000 students who have gone on to become finance professionals or recognised academics, in France and abroad. Page managed by the students of the master 104 Delivered entirely in English, the courses are taught by professors from Dauphine and other French and foreign universities, all of whom are leading researchers, as evidenced by their numerous publications in finance and their international recognition. The Master 104 offers students the opportunity to test their taste for research by writing an in-depth master's thesis with a view to preparing a doctorate in the following years. It also offers the possibility of an internship at the end of their studies to orient themselves towards their future career. The Master's degree has a broad spectrum in the field of corporate and market finance, although quantitative methods play an important role in the curriculum. What makes it special is not a focus on one area of finance, but the ability of students to step back and analyse financial decisions and the associated risks. Rigorous selection, high quality teaching and the possibility of a long internship are the keys to the success of the Master 104 Finance.
