Overview

Mason Media is a full-service TV/film/audio production company and brand studio co-founded by Alex Rodriguez, Marc Lore, and CEO Nora Ali. The company specializes in compelling content at the intersection of the founding team’s areas of expertise: business, sports & entertainment, entrepreneurship, and forward-thinking - with the goal of becoming the leader in powerful stories that center innovation and elevate historically overlooked voices. Mason's Co-Founder & CEO, Nora Ali, is a Statistics & Quant Finance Harvard grad who began her career at Goldman Sachs advising institutional investors, including in media & entertainment transactions. She then helped build and launch e-commerce company Jet.com as an early leader on the marketing and product teams, seeing the company through its $3.3 billion acquisition by Walmart. She took her Wall Street and startup-building experiences to journalism as an on-air anchor and host across Cheddar and Morning Brew, specializing in tech, business, and entertainment news and co-creating shows centering inclusion and innovation. The company’s COO, Dana Z. Currier, most recently was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Westbrook Media, and previously served as the Director of Production for CNN Development, Original Series & CNN Films. Dana's track record includes Emmy-winning shows "Parts Unknown: Anthony Bourdain," "United Shades of America," "Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy," and Oscar-nominated documentary, "RBG." Development is run by Amanda McPhillips who, as VP of Development at Embassy Row Productions, created and oversaw projects for Netflix, CBS, AMC, CNN, Tru, Lifetime, VH1, E!, Discovery, TLC, USA, and Bravo, and has worked with companies including UCP, Anonymous Content, Den of Thieves, STX, Main Event, and Sirens.
