Overview

Majan University College was established in 1995 as the first private sector College in Oman, and has continued to be at the forefront of higher education in the Sultanate ever since. The College is a subsidiary of Human Investment Corporation, a Kuwaiti-based company and its ultimate parent company is Kuwaiti Finance House. In December 2017, Majan achieved full institutional accreditation from the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA), and maintained its reputation as a trailblazer by being the first higher education institution in the country to do so. Majan University College is an accredited college of the University of Bedfordshire, UK and operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Oman. It offers undergraduate honours degrees in Business Administration with 8 pathways (General Business, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Accounting, Information Systems, Transport Operations Management, Small Business, and Tourism & Event Management), Finance, Marketing, e-Business, Islamic Banking & Finance, Computing in 3 pathways (Oil & Gas, Banking Information Systems, and Software Engineering), Accounting, Computer & Internet Applications, Networking and English Language, through full time and part time modes of study. Masters programmes are also on offer in the field of Business Administration (MBA), MA in Applied Linguistics, MA in International Human Resource Management (IHRM) and Computer Science with 5 pathways (Computer Forensic & Security, Information Management & Security, Mobile Computing, Computer Networking, and Applied Computing & Information Technology).
