Made In Spain

Overview

José Andrés Productions & Phil Lerman Productions have produced the first ever top-quality American television series showcasing the very best of Spain’s travel, food, wine and culture. Made in Spain is much more than a simple cooking or road trip show. With José Andrés as a guide, Made in Spain offers American viewers a unique window on one of the world’s most vibrant and influential cultures. The first 26 episodes, now airing on PBS stations around the nation, have taken America by storm: In each 30-minute episode, José provides a gastronomic and cultural tour of one of Spain’s 17 vibrant regions. Debuting in February of 2008, the series is now being shown on more than 100 affiliate PBS stations across every region the U.S – from Boston to L.A., from Chicago to Dallas. Made in Spain was presented by KQED-San Francisco and distributed by PBS International. After a wildly successful first 26 episodes, “Made in Spain” returns with José honing his focus on 13 great ingredients for the perfect Spanish meal. The show will once again travel far and wide through Spain to highlight the greatest culinary treats, and best restaurants, the nation has to offer. And it will once again bring all those treats back into José’s own kitchen in America, where the man who brought tapas to America finds the perfect balance of tradition and modernity. A companion book was published by Clarkson Potter in fall 2008. In October 2009, Planeta published the Spanish language translation.
