M&M Militzer & Münch China

Overview

Militzer & Münch´s founders were pioneers 140 years ago when they set up their rail freight forwarding company. Pioneering spirit also moved the Militzer & Münch experts to venture into airfreight as early as the mid-1950s, and then to add groupage transports via road and rail from Germany to such remote destinations as Iran and Afghanistan. Militzer & Münch proved its foresight, its pioneering spirit, and its courage again when it was among the first companies to successfully establish itself in the new, promising markets of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and China, thus paving the way for its clients. Militzer & Münch’s Chinese operations began with the opening of its first representative office in Beijing in 1981. As a sign of its long-term commitment to China, in 1994 Militzer & Münch entered into a Joint Venture relationship with Tianbao Storage Development Crop. Shortly thereafter, Militzer & Münch became one of the first foreign companies to receive a Class A Forwarding License from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC). That same spirit still drives Militzer & Münch today – it drives us to develop new logistics and cargo handling concepts and processes and to continually expand and optimize our product and service portfolio as a trusted, competent, and high-performance partner for our clients. Militzer & Münch offers worldwide air and sea freight services as well as road and rail transports and project logistics along the East-West axis in Eurasia and North Africa, as well as air and sea freight world-wide. The Group operates with a solid network of branch offices in Eastern Europe, the CIS, the Middle East and the Far East as well as in the Maghreb countries.
