The Lucerne Symphony Orchestra is the orchestra in residence at the KKL Lucerne and the opera orchestra of the Lucerne Theatre. It organizes an annual symphonic concert cycle in the KKL Luzern, several chamber music series, and the piano festival "Le piano symphonique". The orchestra also gives guest performances in Switzerland and abroad and regularly goes on international tours. As the oldest symphony orchestra in Switzerland, it has gained international recognition far beyond its home in Lucerne.
