Overview
Digital disruptions, such as the recent surge in artificial intelligence technologies, quantum computing, humanoids, or robotic animals, necessitate robust ecosystems not only to harness digital potential responsibly across economies, education, businesses, and individuals, but also to stimulate and socialize innovation. Lusofonia Digital (LD) emerges to guide Lusophone nations through this transformation, uniting more than 200 Councilors and Associates from 17 countries across 5 continents: 28 CEOs, 22 University Rectors and Directors, 9 tech company heads, and 8 national HR association Presidents from the Lusophone countries. Rooted in a matrix of country chapters across 8 nations (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, Timor-Leste) and specialization chapters spanning 7 areas (Strategy, Future of Work, Innovation, Leadership and Skills, Marketing & Sales, Technology, Universities), LD's approach embraces the diverse landscapes and thematic interests across the Lusophonic nations. By fostering partnerships, conducting market assessments, and providing support, LD catalyzes digital transformation and optimization across the range of digital maturity. Its community-centric model encourages chapters to undertake activities and projects tailored to their specific focus areas, be it technological, educational, or economic themes. Through organized events covering a breadth of topics, LD fosters a rich knowledge-sharing platform, fast-tracking ecosystem growth across the Lusophonic realm. LD was registered on October 18, 2023, with its inception ceremony held on May 17, 2023.
