Overview

Who we are Luova Aalto is a community of people interested in embracing and cultivating their creativity. We are a student-run non-profit organization that exists to bring together people from different schools, disciplines and backgrounds to try new things and learn more about creativity. Our mission is to raise awareness of the importance of creativity in our society and provide everyone with opportunities to develop their creative capacity. To us, the notion of creativity stretches beyond fields like arts and crafts traditionally associated with it. Whether you are cooking, painting, programming or tackling hardcore business challenges, creativity will always propel the solution. We at Luova Aalto believe that all people are born equally creative. The reason why some people perform better in creative work than others has more to do with their nurture than nature. Indeed, we believe that creativity is like a muscle: the more you flex it, the stronger it gets. Therefore, we invite everyone irrespective of their prior experience to join us in our events to experiment, discover and be inspired. What we do When planning new events, we at Luova Aalto are guided by our infinite curiosity for experimenting and learning. That’s why we organize various kinds of events ranging from workshops, excursions and parties to hackathons. Our guiding principle is that we never organize the same event twice. In 2017, we for example painted the walls of an empty hospital, coded our own music while enjoying brunch and developed new marketing concepts in a two-day creative hackathon, Kuohu. Do you have an idea or project that might be a fit for us? Let us know - we are always interested in new opportunities!
